SMASHING OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL, RAISING £15,000 FOR PAPWORTH TRUST
The Basildon Papworth Trust Centre held a celebration event, to thank us for our fundraising and accept a £15K cheque.
At PCS Legal, we are thrilled to announce that our latest fundraising initiative for Papworth Trust has been an outstanding success, raising an incredible £15,000, which far surpassed our original pledge of £10,000.
To celebrate this brilliant achievement, we gathered for a special cheque presentation on Wednesday 19th February at Papworth Trust’s Basildon Centre. It was a fantastic occasion that not only highlighted our continued support for this incredible charity but also showcased what is made possible by the funds we raise on a regular basis for this charity.
For over a decade, we’ve been proud to partner with Papworth Trust, a charity dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving greater independence and equality. In 2024, our team participated in a variety of fundraising challenges to raise money for the Basildon Centre, including climbing Snowdon, running marathons, cycling in events, and hosting a golf day. Each of these activities helped us come closer to our goal of enhancing the Centre's facilities and supporting its vital services.
The cheque presentation was attended by some of our dedicated staff who have been part of the fundraising initiatives and representatives from Papworth Trust, as well as individuals who will directly benefit from the funds raised.
Our Founding Partner, Stuart Forsdike, shared his thoughts on the success: “I’ve been completely amazed by the dedication and hard work of our team, as well as the generosity of our clients and supporters. Surpassing our original goal and raising £15,000 is a testament to the power of community when we come together for such an important cause. The afternoon was a fantastic celebration, and it was wonderful to see first-hand the positive impact these funds will have. We’re already planning more fundraising events for 2025, including The London Marathon, Vitality London 10k, our second Big Charity Quiz Night, and our third annual Charity Golf Day.”
Maggie Blackburn, Service Manager at Papworth Trust’s Basildon Centre, also expressed her gratitude: “We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of PCS Legal. Their efforts over the years have been invaluable, and this latest fundraising success will directly benefit the individuals we support here at the Basildon Centre.”
